Artwork title – ‘Red Rose Tree Five Seven’
A4 framed artwork
Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland’s book and non-fictional world associated both enchants and haunts the mind to the artist. The background scene was photographed in the artist’s bedroom, a direct association to this surrealist scene. Patterns & playing cards created digitally. The rabbit image with hearts for eyes, transfixed, in line with the artist’s obsession in her own wonderland space created in the real world as part of her house. The rabbit’s heart bleeds, doesn’t know when to stop. ‘Five’ and ‘Seven’ were two from a group of three gardeners painting the white roses for the Queen of Hearts, from this book.
