WHY IS THE LAIR DIFFERENT TO OTHER STUDIO PLACES ABOUT TOWN?
The Lair, is a quirky wonderland gallery experience, rich in detail.
- The main focus here is to have an extraordinary makeover and get dressed to the nines. This is a transforming indulgent experience, for you to treat your inner child.
- You can cherry pick items, have access to all the props, headpieces and accessories whilst at the studio during your shoot
- Stylised portraits from a creative perspective, that bring out the authentic you, front and centre.
- It has taken the artist/photographer years to work on the studio space and over 10 years to complete the dolls house ‘like no other’. It has cut up vintage Barbie dolls and miniature chandeliers that work within.
CAN A FRIEND OR PARTNER BOOK A SHOOT TOGETHER?
A two person booking can be made, however the cost for the deposit is associated with the makeover (for hair and makeup). Therefore the price is $199.00 each (unless the 2nd person is not getting a makeover). The photography session starts when the makeup is completed for both people. Please note, Ana has only women’s clothing, but anyone can frock up!
Only one fee for the photography component, is required in this instance. Some photography images taken together and singular, as portrait. The benefits of sharing a photo shoot, allows more play with the props. Bring on the hilarity and mayhem in a good way..
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR PRINTED WORK?
Any requested prints are basic retouched
Colour correction, file resize, depending on your request, file formatting, then sending through to the printer. Once received and checked, then packaged accordingly. Roughly a two week turnaround once sent to print.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN TERMS TO 'MY LOOK' FOR COSTUME AND PHOTOGRAPHY?
Based on the look your up for via information provided via the Style Me form, Ana helps with suggestions to suit your look & or theme. Once an outfit is decided on (nothing of course set in concrete, lots of options available to chose from) hair & makeup is professionally styled. Every detail is brought to fruition.
WHAT'S THE PROCESS FOR HAIR AND MAKEUP?
Whether it be a Alice in Wonderland themed, vintage, alternative, it’s all about creative artistry and wow factor!
Pam from Phoenix Hair and Makeup Artistry is styling Claudia below, Halloween styled for slaying out in the front yard, you never know when zombies are lurking!
CAN I BOOK A SHOOT AND TURN UP READY TO GO WITH MY MAKEUP/HAIR STYLED?
Most definitely! Follow the link and pay the Photography + Props then get in contact as to when you would like to book in your day. Drag Artiste Miranda Fair brought her makeup and accessories, however she wore the Queen of Hearts styled outfit. Ana was over the moon to have had this opportunity!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO PAY FOR PRINTS?
Let’s chat and see what you require from your photo session. Both the digital and printed photos can be purchased in small batches, there is no minimum spend. Digital artistry can also take your photos to new levels.
DO YOU PHOTO RETOUCH IMAGES?
Ana’s background is professional photo retouching, as well as graphics. Basic retouching is applied across the board. Please let Ana know if there is anything of sensitive nature ie blemishes etc.
Any graphics seen on social media used, ie the neon light graphics made for Miranda’s queen of hearts photo shoot can be applied to some of your photos.
Creative edits are made at whim from photoshoots. Any additional requests are ad on costs, unless part of a promotion.
I’M UNSURE IF YOU CAN CATER TO MY SIZE?
Please get in contact with Ana, there are other outfits in the making and some awaiting to be photographed. Ana has spent the last year in particular, making outfits for all sizes. As well as purchasing mesh tops for predominately all sizes. Ana has had a truck load of fun reworking the attire here! Fill out the ‘Style Me‘ form and let’s find the styled outfit(s) for you.
The accessories and headpieces will complete the look. Then it’s off to the glittering highway, with edge, you go!

Hawkesbury Remakery
Art gallery, sustainable and refashioned items, unique finds to events. A place to feel inspired, get lost amongst ‘all’. The staff and volunteers are wonderful too..

Enniskillen Orchard
Love this place..
Open Friday night to weekends, with beer on tap, cheese platters etc.
During the week, retail shop with local produce, jams, fresh fruit.

The Junkyard
Treasure trove of antiques, ‘automotive and books, along with artefacts and incidentals which hold their value because of their rarity’. It’s an amazing place to be lost in time and very much in the present. An excellent place for photographs for the cool cats wanting something different.
